THE SCOTTSDALE DISASTER
Picture this: Four buddies plan their dream golf getaway to Scottsdale in 2021. Hours turn into days wasted reading generic "Great course!" reviews that offered zero insight on whether tracks would actually suit our 12-to-15 handicaps…or our wallets.
We rolled the dice and hopped on a plane, expecting epic rounds.
Although we did discover two absolute gems – The Raven Golf Club for only $90 was incredible value – we also endured some real disappointments. The TPC Stadium Course at $250? Let's just say that's not something we'd ever need to play again.
We realized we’d fallen victim to hype.
Frustration peaked during our flight home. While commiserating over airport beer and peanuts, we grabbed napkins and flipped over scorecards to sketch out a better way. Fairway Finder was born mid-air, inspired by a question so many golfers have asked over the years.

Justin
Founder and Creator
Justin is the founder and creator of Fairway Finder, a golf course discovery app born from his own frustrating experiences planning golf trips. After repeatedly encountering that one disappointing round that stuck with him – courses with poor information or hidden drawbacks – he realized golfers needed a better way to find courses that actually matched their game and expectations.
Based in Michigan, Justin is a 13-handicap golfer who picked up the game later in life. His approach to golf mirrors his approach to business: straightforward, authentic, and focused on enjoying the experience. Whether it's a quick round with buddies over a few beers or scouting courses for the perfect golf getaway, he believes every round should be worth your time.
Through Fairway Finder, Justin is building the platform he wishes existed during those early golf trip planning sessions – one where honest, detailed reviews help golfers avoid disappointments and discover hidden gems.
